Materials
1 Large Plastic Spoon
The first thing you will need to make your slime is a large plastic spoon to mix the ingredients. Plastic works better than wood because it is easier to clean than wood and more ‘kid friendly’
1 Large Plastic Bowl
A plastic bowl is needed to mix all the ingredients in! Plastic is best because it is easy to clean and light weight so kids can help make the slime.
A Microwave
This recipe calls for the ingredients to be ‘cooked’ in the microwave! If you need a new microwave we recommend the Toshiba.
Airtight Storage
Airtight storage is important to keep your slime fresh and edible. Ziploc bags will work for a few days but an airtight container works best!
Ingredients
- 2 Bags Jumbo Marshmallows
- 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
Directions
- First, empty both bags of marshmallows into a large bowl.
- Next, sprinkle the cooking oil onto the marshmallows in the bowl.
- Now microwave the bowl of marshmallows and oil on High for 30 seconds, until the marshmallows fully melt. Remove from microwave.
- Stir in cornstarch and mix well. This should take about 3-4 minutes of mixing. Let mixture sit to cool off.
- Once the marshmallow mixture has cooled, remove from the bowl and begin to knead the slime by pressing down and away from you with the heel of your hand. Be careful, the slime can be hot!
